UMS multi-gas sensors

Precise. Flexible. Durable.

The UMS multi-gas sensor is an autonomously operating measuring system for the continuous analysis of oxygen (O₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂), relative humidity (%RH) and air pressure.

The compact device combines precise sensors with durable hardware – suitable for use in research, industry and process monitoring.

An integrated circulation pump, a heated measuring cell, and optional humidity compensation enable reliable measurement results even under changing ambient conditions. Optional, instant connection to exhaust gas hoses is available by piercing with standard cannulas (23Gx1 recommended) (for the supply and return lines).
An additional gas dryer is not required. Operation is carried out directly on the device via a capacitive color touchscreen. Alternatively, remote access is possible via common interfaces.

Application-oriented functionality

The sensor is equipped with a variety of industrial-grade interfaces : In addition to USB-C for local access, MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP, two configurable 20 mA outputs, and Ethernet with Power over Ethernet (PoE) are available. The integrated data logger stores up to 600 million measured values.

Data transmission is network-based, including password protection and time stamping via NTP.

For calibration, two reference points can be freely selected per measured value (from 0% to 100% O₂). The calibration process is software-supported and can be performed via the display or PC. The measurement results are stable, reproducible, and immediately available.

Construction & Operation

The anodized aluminum housing (78 × 145 × 88 mm, 1,330 g) offers protection and durability even under demanding conditions. The gas connection is via a 4 mm nipple. For non-prefiltered exhaust air, the use of a 0.2 µm particle filter is recommended. The sensor can be started and used without additional software. An integrated quick help function can be accessed directly from the menu.
